Today was my first day at Katz Club. I actually didn't know that this place existed. When I walked inside, I met Theresa. Theresa showed me around one of the two diner cars that made up Katz Club. The one she showed me was the diner, the other car is basically a bar with decor that is similar to how it would look in the 1920's. I love the ambiance of the whole diner. At Katz Club, they make all of the cakes and pies in house. Greeting customers as the walk through the door are Boston creme pies, twinkies, ho-hos, pop tarts, etc... The hostess stands behind the coffee counter, which acts as its own little coffee shop. Theresa was very helpful. She introduced me to the barista, Brad, along with all of the other waiters. Today was a really slow day; the employees say that Wednesdays always are. For the first few hours, I washed some of the silverware and a few coffee mugs. Most of the day was learning my way around the coffee bar. Today was just a learning experience about what goes on at Katz Club. Katz Club is definitely a very unique diner. It looks like it is going to be a week filled with a lot of coffee.
My first day at Katz Club was very similar to yours. I did a lot of cleaning, drank a lot of coffee, and was taunted by the delicious pastries that are set right in front. All the waiters at the diner are really cool and nice and I'm glad you feel the same way about them.
